1. National Cultural Exchange
Programme |
|
 |
The National Cultural Exchange Programmes,
between the different Zonal Cultural Centres provides a
platform for exchanging cultural ties, besides providing
the common people with a vast panaroma of knowledge and
awareness of Indian culture. Our diversified sphere of activities
involving a large number of participants encompasses all
sections of people. Our programmes both at the zonal and
national level are very popular and attractive. Our endeavour
is to bring as many people as possible into the fold of
our cultural activity.
The opportunities of inter-cultural exchange
among the people of India provided by the seven Zonal Cultural
Centres plays a positive role towards the creation of a
feeling of oneness among the Indians as a whole irrespective
of the state to which they belong, or the religion they
profess or the language they speak. The Zonal Cultural centres
thus play a positive role in neutralising the centrifugal
forces and creating a feeling of Indianness among the vast
people of India.
2. Theatre Rejuvenation: |
|
 |
The Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre regularly
organise Experimental Theatre Festivals, Traditional Theatre
Festivals, Intensive Theatre Workshops Natyotsavs and Monthly
Theatre Shows for the revival of the Theatre Movement.
The main objective of organizing such festivals
in to provide an opportunity to the theatre workers, students,
actors, artists, directors and writers to perform on a common
platform and interact with each other. This helps to understand
the various theatre forms and their productions.

Indias culture - her music, dance, literature and folk art
are deeply rooted in her ancient religious and spiritual
heritage. In ancient times talented students stayed
at gurukuls and acquired knowledge about our rich
cultural heritage. To preserve this tradition, the
